Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- GIC Lecturer (Male/Female): Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject from a recognized university AND a B.Ed. degree (NCTE recognized).
- Sparsh GIC (Visually Impaired): PG in subject + B.Ed. (Special Education) / M.Ed. recognized by RCI + RCI registration (where required).
- Jail Training School Lecturers: PG in Psychology / Criminology (as per notification). Preferential qualifications such as PhD and knowledge of Hindi may be listed.
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 40 years
- PH candidates: up to 55 years
- Age relaxation as per UP government rules (SC/ST/OBC/State Govt employees/Ex-servicemen etc.)

How to Apply (Step-by-step)
- Obtain One Time Registration (OTR) at otr.pariksha.nic.in (do this at least 72 hours before applying).
- Visit uppsc.up.nic.in and click the relevant online advertisement.
- Authenticate using your OTR number and fill Part-I, Part-II and Part-III of the online application.
- Upload required documents (marksheets, degree, caste certificate if applicable, disability certificate if PH, etc.).
- Pay the application fee through the prescribed SBI MOPS or other listed modes.
- Take a printout of the submitted application and payment transaction slip; preserve for future reference.
Important Instructions & Tips
- Only online applications will be accepted. Do not send physical copies unless specifically asked later.
- Ensure your OTR details (mobile & email) are correct — UPPSC will communicate via SMS / email to the registered details.
- Keep scanned copies of all required documents ready before starting the application.
- Applications and fee payment must be completed before the last date. Use the ‘Preview’ and then ‘Submit’ options carefully.
