UP PGT Chemistry Preparation
If you are preparing for UP PGT Chemistry, regular question practice should be an important part of your preparation.
Chemistry questions can test concepts, reactions, calculations and application of concepts. So, simply reading a chapter again and again is not always enough.
After studying a topic, solve questions from that topic. When you get a question wrong, try to find out exactly where the mistake happened. It may be a concept, formula, calculation or reaction.
This is where an error notebook can be useful. Keep a record of questions that you repeatedly get wrong and revise them from time to time.
Previous-year questions are also important. They give you an idea of how Chemistry concepts are converted into objective questions.
Instead of remembering only the correct option, try to understand the reason behind it. This makes revision much more useful.
Important Chemistry Practice for PGT Aspirants
For Chemistry preparation, try to maintain a balance between reading and solving questions.
- Revise important concepts regularly.
- Practise MCQs after completing a topic.
- Solve previous-year questions.
- Give regular time to numerical problems.
- Keep a record of mistakes.
- Revise difficult questions again after a few days.
- Take mock tests and analyse your performance.
Do not focus only on the number of questions you solve. Understanding your mistakes is equally important.
